Act like a lady, think like a man? I think not
Are we seriously taking our relationship advice from the American entertainer Steve Harvey?
Steve Harvey? Seriously?
This guy can’t even find a suit that fits him, and when he does, he buys it in yellow with matching yellow alligator shoes.
And this is the guy people have decided has the best advice on how to heal relationships and marriages?
Twice divorced, he is going to tell us how to succeed at something he has failed at, twice.
I don’t understand how we arrived here.
One day this guy was popular for telling jokes, the next he is the new Dr Phil. But just because you are good at one thing, doesn’t mean you are good at everything.
For starters, Mr Harvey tells women to think like a man. That’s terrible relationship advice. I don’t want to be with a woman who thinks like a man.
I want a woman who thinks like a woman. If I wanted someone who thinks like a man, I would have married a man.
It’s like buying a can of Sprite and telling the cafe owner that it should taste like Fanta Orange.
Where is the logic in that?
Then this dude tells women that they must not let their men between the sheets for 90 days. 90 days! That is three months.
There are countries that go to war, resolve issues, shake hands and gooi a braai to celebrate peace in less than a month. How did he get to 90 days?
That’s not love. That is prison.
Sisters, I would advise you to call your mother or your aunt for relationship advice before opening a book by some dude who has no idea what your challenges are as a woman.
But if you are struggling to put a joke together, then by all means call Steve. That’s what he’s know for after all.
