Let’s first deal with justice and politicians

I APPEAL to my fellow South Africans to unite and hold our leaders
accountable for years of bad leadership, poverty, oppression, injustice and the
abuse of power.
The accountability I am referring to begins from president FW de
Klerk, his lily white Cabinet and the unfinished “deal” of the Truth and
Reconciliation Commission. That will lead us as a people to then deal with
president Thabo Mbeki and his silent Cabinet, and eventually President Jacob
Zuma and his loud mouth and materialistic Cabinet.
Let our message as united South Africans be absolutely clear that
“we are watching you as a government and that you are accountable to us the
citizens of the Republic of South Africa”.
We cannot move forward as a nation without first confronting and
dealing with our troubled past. If we do not deal with that, history will simply
repeat itself.
What is needed now, not later, is justice and accountability in
relation to the wrongs committed in our past – more especially the culture of
impunity that is currently destroying South Africa.
What is happening in South Africa is that our current and previous
leaders are reluctant to deal with the past because they are also caught up in
the past. What a shame.
