ET trial delayed

The trial of two people accused of killing right-wing leader Eugene Terre’Blanche was postponed by the Ventersdorp High Court this morning.
The trial was stood down until tomorrow because Chris Mahlangu’s lawyer Kgomotso Tlouane was ill.
Mahlangu and a minor, who may not be named, are charged with beating Terre’Blanche to death in his farm house outside Ventersdorp in North West in April 2010.
Both have pleaded not guilty to murder, housebreaking and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Mahlangu claims he acted in self-defence. The teenager has denied involvement in the crime.
The minor’s lawyer, advocate Zola Majavu, said his client would turn 18 on April 22.
