Matric preliminary exams in Gauteng will be postponed because of a public servants strike, an official said today.
Provincial education spokesman Charles Phahlane said: “I can confirm that the exams have been postponed indefinitely.”
He said he could not give more details yet.
A national public servants strike entered its eighth day today, severely disrupting schooling and healthcare services.
The preliminary matric exams were to have started in two weeks.
