Entertainment industry gets the party started
Egoliwood got off to a promising party start this week when Muthaland Entertainment (formerly Ghetto Ruff) and AXE deodorant turned Wednesday night into party night.
The Parkview studios of Muthaland, home to hip hop duo Jozi and Afro soul singer Nancy G, was the venue for the intimate get-together hosted by record execs Lance Stehr and wife Delphine.
Industry players – musicians, publicists and television show producers – gathered in the garden where the sparkling pool, murals and basketball court lent a chilled-out atmosphere.
Across town, The Venue at the World Trade Centre in Sandton was a different kettle of fish. There were men in space suits, hostesses in clingy sparkly minis, strobe lights, pumping house music and an overflowing supply of flavoured shooters.
Everything was perfect – except for no aircon. Just ask actress/dancer/choreographer Khabonina Qubeka.
