Kenneth Nkosi wins Best Actor award
South African actor Kenneth Nkosi won the Best Actor award for his role in Otelo Burning at the Colours of the Nile Film Festival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Otelo Burning also won in the Best Soundtrack category.
“Although Kenneth Nkosi seems to have a minor part in Otelo Burning, the jury felt he ‘conveys, with tremendous strength and humility, his emotional frustrations and sadness about the dramatic course the lives of his beloved ones has taken’,” a statement reads.
A special mention went to Eric Miyeni’s documentary Mining For Change.
South African producer Letebele Masemola-Jones was among the jury members.
