It amazes me that Jake Zee continues unabated to sew this slow poison of deception which soothes as it anaesthetizes the washed and the unwashed , as well as St Ferial and Adrian apparently .

Chaps , Jake Zee was roundly applauded at the SONA when announcing that violent demonstrators causing damages etc , would be arrested and made to pay .Yeah , right maaaaaaaaan !!!! Ouens , this is not news – it’s as old as the hills .

Do some research and read Sect 300 of the Criminal Procedures Act , 51/1977 – yes folks – more than 3 decades old . Loosely explained , any Magistrate upon delivering a guilty verdict , may make a compensation order against the person so convicted . Jake really should insist his speech composers do some research , hitherto compiling a presidential speech .

Perhaps St Ferial and Adrian would like to inquire on presiding magistrates reluctance to enforce this statute , which they would probably find existed in the erstwhile Act 56/1955 Criminal Procedures Act

The last time I used this legislation was against an Eskom Official , convicted in Bellville Court 7 or 8 years ago . It is still entirely valid .
