Pics – Oscar-nominated movies worth watching

The 85th annual Academy Awards nominees were announced on Thursday (January 10 2013). Here’s a list of nominated movies you shouldn’t miss. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in the comedy Silver Linings Playbook. The film hit South Africa’s cinemas on December 28 2012. Lawrence and Cooper are nominated for best actress and actor respectively. Silver Linings Playbook received eight nominations.

French actress Emmanuelle Riva (85) is the oldest female to be nominated in the best actress category for her role in Amour. A South African release date is not available.
