A police spokesperson has confirmed that they are interviewing neighbours of Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius about a domestic altercation at his home late last night.
Brigadier Denise Beukes told reporters outside the entrance to Silverwoods Estate, where Pistorius lives, that they were interviewing witnesses who heard noises.
Pistorius allegedly shot and killed his 30-year old model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, early this morning.
“We have received some reports about screaming and shouting, but nothing has been confirmed. This is part of an ongoing investigation that is far from finalised,” Beukes said.
Pistorius was expected to appear on murder charges in the Pretoria Central Prison Court this afternoon.
Beukes said the police would oppose bail.
