Outgoing Motsoeneng thanks SABC for ‘supporting his vision’
The SABC’s exiting acting chief operations officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, thanked the broadcaster for letting him hold the fort, the public broadcaster has said.
He thanked the SABC board for recognising his strengths and giving him the opportunity to act as its chief operations officer from November 18 2011, The SABC said today.
“The most appreciation is to the group executive committee and the SABC staff at large for supporting his vision and commitment to the business of the public broadcaster.”
The SABC announced yesterday that it was releasing Motsoeneng from his duties.
It appointed Mike Siluma, a veteran journalist and head of radio news and current affairs, to the position.
Motsoeneng called on the staff and stakeholders of the broadcaster to support Siluma.
Motsoeneng would revert to his position as group executive of stakeholder relations and provinces with immediate effect.
