Police captain nabbed for robbery

A police captain who allegedly took part – in full uniform – in a business robbery in Sunnyside had been arrested, police have said.

Police spokesperson Captain Pinky Tsinyane said that the cop, aged 56, was arrested with two others today after a group of five people robbed a shop in the Pretoria suburb.

“Apparently he was in uniform,” said Tsinyane.

She said the police captain would soon appear in court on charges of business robbery.

Police are still searching for the two other robbers.
