Police investigate BMW robbers
Police are investigating reports of a silver three-series BMW allegedly implicated in hijackings and armed robberies in Johannesburg suburbs, Gauteng police said today.
Brigadier Neville Malila said: “We have received enquires and are looking into it.”
The Star reported that the car, with tinted windows and the registration plate TKN870GP, was linked to a four-month crime spree by three or four men in the city’s suburbs.
The modus operandi of the gang involved following their targets home from shopping centres.
Incidents involving the car were reported in Northcliff, Mulbarton, Glenvista, Glenanda, Little Falls, Rosebank and Lenasia.
