Teen in coma after assault on way to club

The Cape Times reported that Jean Lambrechts (19) was on his way to Stones Edward Street, Bellville, on Saturday evening when his group were approached by about 10 men.
His friend Juan Strydom (20) said the unknown men began hitting them as security guards at the nearby club apparently looked on.

He was meant to have started an IT course later today.
Police spokesperson Andre Traut told the newspaper a case of assault with intent to commit grievous bodily harm was being investigated.
No arrests had yet been made.
In November 2011, matric pupil Corne Hale (19), died in the same street after being involved in a fight.
