Bafana don’t worry us – Angola
Angola have nothing to fear from the match against under-achieving Bafana Bafana, except for the match officials, when they meet at Moses Mabhida today.
Kick-off is at 5pm.
Said Angola coach Gustavo Ferrin: “We are not worried about the opponent but I don’t believe the referee will give the home team any protection. The most important thing to us is that we are ready and we play what we know.”
He said their approach would be the same as in the goalless draw against Morocco.
“Football is about entertainment and we are here for that and I am sure even South Africa will do that. We are ready for an entertaining match and we hope for the best result.”
Angola captain Manucho, who scored against Bafana in the 2008 Afcon in Ghana, said he hoped to score again.
He said a lot depended on him and he would do his best to help the team beat South Africa.
“A lot is expected of me as the main striker of the team and I am hoping to do well and help the team.”
The good news for Angola is the availability of Djalma Campos, who missed the first game against Morocco because of injury.
