Beware the Blue Sharks
Cape Verde will receive the same attention as Bafana Bafana when Group A closes its campaign tomorrow.
The islanders will face Angola at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at the same time as Bafana will be in action against Morocco in Durban.
Verde coach Lucio Antunes said the game was crucial for the two Portuguese-speaking nations.
“It will be a difficult game but we we will do our best. Angola is a good team,” said Antunes prior to the team’s training session at the match venue today.
The debutants have already caused waves in the tournament, having forced a point apiece out of their fixtures against former Afcon champions Bafana and Morocco.
They are level on two points with Morocco and the quarterfinals are within reach.
Antunes warned that Angola had talented players who could pose a threat to their ambitions in South Africa.
